
Venezia's Pizzeria is based in Arizona, with three locations on the east side of Phoenix. BoomText began working with Venezia's in January of 2008. The owner, Domenick Montanile, implemented his first campaign by posting a small paper sign at the point of sale at one of his locations. The sign read text "hungry" for a chance to win a free pizza. It was not well displayed and was not very well designed; however, the sign generated over 50 opt-ins to his database in the first month!
Domenick was very excited about the possibilities of text message marketing and decided to put signs in his other two locations. This resulted in an additional 130 opt-ins to his database under the keyword "hungry". Since January of 2008 Venezia's has used Text Message Marketing to compliment all of their advertising efforts including radio, direct mail, and even their vehicle wraps.
Currently, they have over 600 people in their opt-in database! The response has been fantastic! Domenick uses text messaging to connect with his customers exactly when he wants and with the exact message he wants them to get.
Domenick likes to sends out 1 message a week. Usually, he chooses to send out the message on Friday's at about 10:30am, reminding people of his specials and inviting them to come to lunch on that day. He can directly correlate the text message he sends with an increase in his Friday revenue.
"It is perfect for our lunch business, I know that late morning is when people start thinking about lunch, that is when I send the text message... my customers tell me they come in because of the text, everyone reads their text messages", said Montanile.

We became a BoomText client in January of 2010. It was a program that we had been aware of for quite some time and finally decided to join the program after a business consultant of ours mentioned how well another Operator was doing with the program. Some of our concerns in the beginning were fear of our offers going Viral and spreading to 1 of the 30 other store in our market.
To this day that has never been a problem; we now have over 3,200 members in our groups and new members continue to sign up every day. We now have 5 different groups but our main one at our store hold the majority of our customers. Our other groups consist of the two local High Schools in our area, the University of Central Florida, and one for our employees.
When we first started the program we hung up posters and signs all around the store. We received the table tent inserts from BoomText that we have placed on every table. We bought Ads in the local High School papers advertising our program. We have it posted on our web site as well as the monthly bag stuffers we give to our customers’ everyday. The biggest success however was when we posted Yard Signs around our store and in the drive-thru. We notice a huge increase in daily new customers after using this signs. The most important thing that probably helped us when using printed advertising was consistency. For every ad, sign, and flyer we used we always used the same Proof that was sent to us from BoomText.
I feel that our true success was in the text messages themselves. It’s just like any other product, if the customers like it they will tell their friends and keep using it. The very first text message we sent out was more of a thank you to those who signed up first, it was a completely free offer. Since then we have experimented with many different types of messages. From Breakfast, Lunch, and Diner; to Completely Free, With Any Purchase, and Buy One Get One. They have all had different successes you really need to find what works best for you.
We track all of our messages we send out and almost always plan and set them up days in advance now. We added a special key on our registers to better help track our results. We probably bet close to a 10% redemption rate with most of our messages. But the only way you will ever learn from this is by trying. You have to be brave and be ready for what could happen. Yes some of our Messages have not always been easy for us to handle operationally but they have all increased Sales!

Case Study, Chick-fil-A Restaurant
On Saturday, this text went out at 9:30am: RAVING FANS!!! Swing by Chick-fil-A at Treasure Coast Square today, 9/12, 12pm-8pm. SHOW THIS TEXT, get a FREE Original Sandwich!!! 1 per person. Eat Mor Chikin
At that time, 186 people had opted in, so that is how many texts went out. We tracked 49 customers through the register (I know there were a few more that didn't get tracked by our cashiers). 49 responses is a 26% redemption rate. Counted those not tracked, I'm sure we had just over 30% redemption.
Most of those customers bought something (Fry and/or drink). Check average was $2.37. I was very encouraged by one family (I'd like to assume they weren't already on their way to Chick-fil-A). About 2 hours after we sent the text out, a family came in. The mom was excited about her text, she got the free sandwich, but the family spent $20+.
Overall, I was very pleased. Friday's text with Mall Employees had similar results. There was very little, if any, abuse. People walked up showed their cell phone (if they didn't we asked them to show us the text) and were pretty excited.
Chick-fil-A Restaurant
Greg Harjo a restaurant Operator in Chandler, Arizona (Crossroads location) implemented MobiMark’s Text Message Platform in September 2008. In just 4 weeks the store has had over 500 people “opt-in” to their text message campaign.
Greg sent out a re-connection text blast on 10-15-08 and had over 60 people come in to his restaurant. His text blast read:

A restaurant owner at the Glenbrook Square Mall in Fort Wayne, Indiana implemented BoomText in early November 2008. In just his 1st week using BoomText, he had over 100 mall employees join his text alerts and that number is growing each day.
Tyler sent out a text blast to his keyword that is specific to mall employees on a Wednesday afternoon with the following message:
“Need a snack to get you through hump day?

Darwin Wall is a Real Estate agent in Phoenix, Arizona. BoomText began working with Darwin in May of 2008. Darwin was looking for a new way to market to potential buyers and BoomText’s TextAHome program was exactly what he is looking for.
Darwin uses the BoomText TextAHome rider signs on each of his properties. This enables the potential buyer to text a house ID # and receive all the important information on the property, including pictures!
